Beach trip!

WE LOVE THE BEACH!! Dylan had his first beach experience this past weekend and it was also his first real overnight. He was an absolute angel! He loves the water just like his mom! He jumped waves, got splashed in the face, played with his friends Lena and Luke and after that he slept all night in his pack and play! So much fun!

Father's day

Ben wanted a family day for fathers day this year so we made a trip to the farmers market to get shrimp burgers and fresh veggies! Dylan loved people watching !

so much fun

We are having so much fun with Dylan right now! I've been traveling all week and havent had time to post pictures but will try to do it soon! He's offically crawling, he's literally "Sprinting" around the cul-de-sac in his walker, and he's pulling up on almost everything. I have videos to post too so hope to get these up soon. We are heading to the beach for a night tomorrow for his first beach experience. Cant wait!!

Wild Animal Kingdom!

Since we have lived in our house we have seen tree frogs under the toilet seat, tree frogs in the curtains, ants in the bathroom, a bird in the house, insects galore, and now we have had a SQUIRREL in the house! Last night I finally stumbled in from New Orleans about 1am and got a few hours of sleep before waking up and feeding Dylan around 6:30am. While in his room I hear a pitter patter of little feet in the attic and tell Ben that he has to go get the bird that's flown in the attic. We go about our morning for about 30 minutes and then Dylan and I head into Dad's "mans room" to play while he does some computer work. Well we have little cubby hole that lead to the attic and Ben has left one open in case the "mystery creature" wants to come out on his own. All of a sudden I see a flash go by behind the couch and Dylan and I scramble out the door as fast as we can. I throw him in the crib for his AM nap and go back in to help Ben corral this squirrel out the window. After chasing the poor thing around the mans room (full of deer, bear, turkey, duck) the little squirrel was so petrified. So I tried my "squirrel whispering" technique and caught the little baby and put him out the window. He immediately suicided by jumping off the roof onto the pavement next to Ben's truck. Don't worry, he lived and ran off. Just when I thought we were safe Dylan and I go outside after lunch and Scout finds a baby Robin that has fallen from his nest. I try my hand at "bird whispering" and create a makeshift nest out of our fire pit. His nest is now in the B-ball goal and I'm praying that mama bird will feed the poor thing. I know it's just a matter of time before this baby bird also suicides out of the next onto the concrete. Any ideas? Squirrel whispering

Dad's new camera

Dad bought himself a new camera for Father's Day! Awesome! We are off the hook because there is nothing more in this world that he would rather have. Here are some pictures from the past week of "practice"

I am going to have a mullet soon if Dylan keeps pulling my hair out like this! It's really terrible.

New 7 month pictures

We have been doing a bunch of "nothing" lately and it has been so wonderful! I took two days off of work before Memorial day and immediately got a cold on my first day of vacation. Two days later Dylan caught his first cold so we had to stay close to home over the long weekend. Dylan had his 7 month birthday on May 25th. I've decided that this age is my favorite so far! He is so precious and it is so much fun to watch him learn new things every day. He is sitting up great as you can see in the pictures but still not quite mobile yet. He is still up on all fours and rocking but hasn't quite caught on to the whole crawling thing (thankfully!).
