Beach Trip 2011!

What a great week at the beach!  Our 1st family vacation and we had a blast!  Dylan got to see baby sea turtles hatch and go to sea, play in the sand, go to the aquarium (again) and eat greasy fried seafood!!!  Here are just a few of my favorite pics.

So excited!

Dylan is sooo excited for this weekend!  Aunt Kylie is getting married on Saturday and we couldn't be happier to see all of our family!  The weather should be perfect and Dylan is practicing his walking so he can run and play with all of his big cousins!  He's been doing laps around the house this week!  Thanks to his good buddy Staley, Dylan has an awesome new suit that he is planning to wear to the wedding.  Dad says he's going shopping today and going to find a cute bow tie and shoes!  Too funny. 

Get well

We leave today for our first family vacation to Emerald Isle.  Dylan started feeling puny on Saturday night and now has a full on cold.   It seems like every time I take vacation someone gets sick!  We are going to head over to the doctor this morning before leaving just to make sure it's nothing more than a cold.  Feel better Dylan and let's go have some fun at the beach!!!  I'll post pictures when we get back home!

The Mountain Goat

Dylan's nickname this week is the mountain goat after he climbed the back of the couch to see out of the window.  When he gets tired he just lays out and falls flat on his back onto the couch.  We are in big trouble!  This kid is fearless!

Trash man

Dylan got into Ben's trash can and had a ball!  Unfortunately, the cute little video I took wont load so I guess pictures will have to do.  He is into everything, and trash cans are high up on his list of favorite "no-no's"!

Labor Day cookout with friends

Dylan's friend Staley came over this past Saturday for a cookout and playtime.  These two had SOOO much fun together.  Here are just a few pictures of their playdate and I'm going to try to post a video of them playing chase.  It was the cutest thing ever!

Yard work

We did a little yard work over the weekend.  Dylan helped Ben cut grass and also helped me sweep the porch and pick the dead leaves off of my plants.  He's such a good helper!

Crazy about Kate!

Dylan loves Princess Kate!  This morning I caught him looking through my people magazine and just staring at her.  He said Pippa's not bad either:)

Redneck stroller

Not much explanation needed here!  I forgot the stroller when I went we went to see Nana.  I went in the barn to see Timber and when I came out, Nana had already hatched up plan B.  Of course Dylan loved the muck bucket idea.  (Don't worry, Nana said she had only used this to haul plants/dirt only)

Pick-n-pig

Dylan and I went to visit Nana and Papa's house on Saturday and we went to the Pick-n-pig for a lunch outing.  This restaurant is right down the road from Mom and Dads and it's a little BBQ joint that is located at a small airport.  You can sit outside and watch the airplanes fly in and out while you eat your lunch.  Dylan loved looking at the airplanes!
