A great Sunday!

This weekend I had a much needed rest from the past few weeks of hard work.  I was away from home for 9 days and couldn't be happier to finally make it home around midnight on Friday.  Saturday I attempted to catch my breath a little and get some good quality time with Dylan and Sunday we woke up early to go see our very special friends Thomas and Nancy. We dropped in around 10am and talked for a while and then we all jumped in the pick up truck and took Dylan out to visit the cows and Jake the donkey.  Dylan loved petting sweet Jake!  After that we got to see the Dan River and throw some rocks.  On the way home Thomas stopped by an old barn where the cats live and Dylan got to see a couple cats!  He "meowed' and "mooed" all the way home.  It was a great day with my favorite people.  What a great Sunday!

Dylan loved petting Jake the donkey!

Here we are in the middle of the cow field with Thomas and Nancy.  Dylan wasn't scared at all!

 He loves Nancy!
Oh, and he got to sneak off to the equipment shed and ride on a real tractor!  He LOVED it.

February

It has been a busy few weeks for the Wolfe's!  Monday afternoon we headed to the NC Art Museum for a quick visit.  It is only a few miles from our house but we have never been to the greenway around there.  We took off about 4:45pm on Monday PM and let Dylan run around and explore.  We were so impressed and will definitely be going back when it is warmer for a family picnic.  It was freezing (literally ice around the fountains) but Dylan loved exploring this new place.  It is so much fun to see the joy he has whenever we just let him run free at a new place.  Fun afternoon!

Cold turkey

We are bottle free, finally at 15 months.  I'm not sure who loved the bottle more, me or Dylan.  Every morning when Dylan woke up I had him a nice big bottle of milk and we did the same thing before bedtime.   He took all of his water from a cup but loved his milk in a bottle.  Dr. Foor said no more bottles so I just took them all away last week.  He wasn't too happy the first couple days but now has the hang of it.
