cutting eyes

Dylan loves to "cut eyes" at you!  It gets him the attention he wants and he has learned a few tricks that will quickly get all eyes on him.  His favorite attention grabber is to cut eyes, second favorite is to say "oreo"  and third favorite is to say "boo-boo".  Here he is cutting eyes at me while we were playing one afteroon.

This just makes me smile!
I took this video today while we were driving home from Target.  Dylan was howling like a wolf!!!

Backyard fun

We have been playing in the backyard every night after dinner.  Here are a few pictures from the last week of backyard fun.
Mowing grass.  He worked up a good sweat so we took off his shirt.  I called him "Ben junior"

Pullen Park and Museum

The three of us finally made it over to Pullen Park to ride the train and feed the ducks.  These pics are about 3 weeks old but better late than never! There are also a few pictures of our trip to NC Life/Science museum.

Dylan always puts his finger to his mouth and says "hmmmm??" when he's thinking.  I'll have to post a video because it is so cute! Here we are "thinking" about which exhibit to see next!

Cuteness

Just had to share these cute pics.  Just love him!

Dixie Deer Classic

About 2 weeks ago we took a Sunday PM stroll through the Dixie Deer Classic.  The fairgrounds were packed so we tossed Dylan in the backpack.  He didnt last long in the pack because as soon as he saw the John Deer riding lawnmower he was off and running around!

It's raining, it's pouring...

Haha!  Yesterday was Nana's day to take care of Dylan so they jumped in the car and went to Shelley Lake to feed ducks and play on the playground.  Before they left I saw a big dark cloud far off and told her that I hoped they wouldn't get wet.  Well, as soon as they got to the playground it POURED, thundered, and stormed all over them.  She said she and Dylan were running through the park getting completley soaked.  Here is a picture right when they got home giving me their best "sad" face.  Funny stuff!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

I hope this isn't too much info but I'm sooooo excited/proud right now I just have to share!  DYLAN JUST PEE-PEED IN THE POTTY!!!! I cant believe it!  I took a quick lunch break today to eat lunch with Dylan and then I was going to take him upstairs to put him down for a nap around 12:30pm.  He walked into "his" bathroom and was just playing and I told him that we needed to change his diaper before nap.  I took off his old diaper and he walked over to his little Baby Bjorn potty and said "pee-pee".  He sat down, did his business and then I just shreiked!  This reaction set him off because he did it at least another 6 times just to hear me scream and laugh!  We called Daddy and Nana to tell them the good news!!  I'm not getting my hopes up but hopefully he's going to continue down this path!  GO DYLAN!!!

Easy does it!

On the way to the park Sunday we were talking to Dylan about being "easy" and soft (a very hard concept for him!).  Ben came up with the idea to tell him to say "Easy does it".  Here he is saying his first 3 word phrase.  He is talking up a storm and there is not much he doesn't attempt to say.

Yay for Aunt Jo-Jo!

I have two brilliant little sisters.  They are both amazing people and I admire them both so very much.  Joanna, my littlest sister, just landed a job at Duke University as the recruiting coordinator for the Law School . She is graduating in May top of her graduate class and already has a phenomonal job.  We are so happy, excited, and proud of her that we thought we should have a family get together on Sunday afternoon to celebrate her success!  Dylan loves a party!  Here are a few pics from the party.

January/Febuary long lost pics

Ben and I both take a lot of pictures but his are usually so good and mine are just everyday.  I finally downloaded the past couple months worth of pictures and found some really cute ones.   Here are a few pics from early Jan through early March.
 January just being an angel!

On some occasions the little angel got off track.  Toilet papering the house because a favorite pasttime!

We finally tacked up Chili in his little Western saddle.
Precious pony is such a good sport!

He wore his cowboy hat for the occasion.

I must say he wears it well!
