Bald Head Island vacation round 1

We spent a week at Bald Head Island for our vacation this year and it was the best vacation ever!  The weather was perfect for us and Dylan really enjoyed swimming, playing in the sand, and riding the golf cart.  Nana came the first half of the week and Mimi the second half.  We have so many amazing pictures that I need to split these posts so here are a few from the first half of the week.

Of course, Scout puppy came with us!
After a full day at the beach it was nice to walk over to swim in the pool for a while.

Visit to Milton

Saturday we made a day trip to Milton.  Mr. Charlie and his huge mules Pete and Jill gave us a real wagon ride all through the woods.  Those mules literally pulled us over the river and through the woods (and up the mountain and back)!  Dylan did great and loved being back in the woods.  After that we went to see Nancy and Dylan took a ride on the gator.  It was a fun day!

He was a little nervous of the mules.  They are so big!

We had a picnic in the back of the car after our wagon ride.

 Funny face!

Summer fun

Freeze pops!
Backyard mud pit.

The past two Friday nights Dylan and I have had a popcorn party with just the two of us!  He watches Dora and I just watch him!  I love our little date night!

Ben and I got Dylan a new baseball cap while we were at the Durham Bulls baseball game.

We went to Lynwood Grill on Monday for wing night and Dylan was a really good boy.  He mainly flirted with the hostesses but did have some fun with Dad too!

Tall Timber

Here are a few more pictures from our visit to the farm last weekend.  I'm always behind with my posts but better late than never.  These pictures were taken the same day that the horses "galloped!".
It was a bright sunny day at the farm so he brought his camo sunglasses and ballcap!  Here he is right before we left the house.
Aunt Kylie helped Dylan jump on Timber for a quick walk around the yard.  He got warmed up on big Timber and then rode Charm, Maggie, and Chili.  I love that when Dylan visits the horses in the pasture he says "catch...ride??".  So far, he is really not scared of anything!
Not Timber's best angle but cute anyway!

Gallop

Last Sunday we spent the day at the  farm.  Dylan and I went out to the pasture to catch Chili so he could go for a quick ride.  Before we could catch him the dogs decided it would be fun to chase the horses all over the pasture. There were horses galloping everywhere! Dylan thought this galloping event was great and we have talked about it quite a bit over the past few days.  Here are a few cute videos of Dylan galloping through the neighborhood!
